  1. Assess before we build

    Before we develop any site, we will assess its environmental impact and complete an Environmental Impact Assessment wherever the law or the regulator requires one.

  2. Prevent spills

    Our depots and forecourts will be designed to prevent spills, with secondary containment, overfill protection and spill response equipment on site.

  3. Handle waste properly

    Waste, including used oil, contaminated materials and tank sludge, will be stored separately and removed only by licensed handlers, with records kept.

  4. Report and clean up

    Any spill or release will be reported and cleaned up promptly, and we will inform the regulator and affected communities where required.

  5. Measure and review

    We will set measurable environmental targets, review our performance every year, and work towards ISO 14001 certification.
